What it does
Video Studio makes short AI video clips, independent of any story: a scene for a short, a b-roll shot, a product turning on a table, a camera flight over a landscape. You describe what should happen and generate. Clips for a story's scenes are made in the story's Video step instead — or here, and then added with Add to story.
Make a video
- Frames (both optional)
- Start frame — the video begins with exactly this picture.
- End frame — the video ends with this picture. Needs a start frame too; the AI animates the way from one to the other. Greyed out when the chosen model can't use one.
- Loop — the video ends on its start frame, so it can repeat without a visible cut.
- Without frames the AI makes the video from your description alone.
- References (optional, for models that take them) — pictures of a person, an object or a style that should appear in the clip, e.g. a face and a car. Say in the description what they should do: "the man from the first reference drives the car".
- Describe the video — what happens, how the camera moves, the mood and the light, e.g. "Slow push-in on the planet, the camera drifts left as the sun rises behind it."
- Genre and Code add ready-made camera moves and looks to the description (for the models they were written for).
- Improve with AI rewrites your description so the model understands it better. Undo brings your own text back.
- Model — the AI that makes the video. Models differ in quality, price and what they can do (end frame, references, sound) — the studio only offers what the chosen model supports.
- Resolution, Format and Length — from 360p up to 4K depending on the model, 16:9 or 9:16, and the length the model allows.
- No sound — recommended: the video has no sound track, and it is rejected less often.
- Generate video — the price is shown on the button. You can start up to three videos at the same time.
Your videos
Every clip is kept under Your videos. Click one to play it.
- Continue from last frame — the clip's last picture becomes the start frame of the next one. Describe what happens next, and the scene goes on seamlessly — for longer scenes, clip by clip.
- Again — puts the clip's description, frames, references and settings back into the form, to make a variant.
- Add to story — appends the clip to the end of a story's video; you'll find it in that story's Video step and timeline.
- Download saves the MP4.
Writing a good description
- Describe motion, not just the picture: what moves, where the camera goes, how fast.
- With a start frame, don't describe the picture again — say what should happen in it.
- One clear action per clip works better than a whole story; use Continue from last frame for the next step.
When something goes wrong
- Generate video stays grey — the description is empty, or there is an end frame or loop without a start frame.
- "… can't use an end frame / reference images — removed" — you switched to a model that doesn't take them. Switch back, or go on without them.
- "The video could not be made" — the reason is shown in the player; often the model refused the description or the picture. Rephrase it, turn No sound on, or try another model.
- No credits are charged for a video that failed.
