Avatar Studio

Create a consistent on-screen character — dress it, place it in a scene — and make it talk from text, a story or your own audio.

Updated 23 October 2026

What it does

An avatar is a finished picture of a character: a person in an outfit, framed the way you want, optionally placed in a scene. It works as a reference for scene images and video clips, and it can speak: Seedflows turns it into a talking video from a text, a story's voice over or your own audio.

The studio has two steps at the top: ① Avatar creates and edits avatars, ② Speaking avatar makes one talk.

① Create an avatar

On the left: Upload a photo, your reference faces from Face Studio and your avatars. Click one to open it in the wizard in the middle. An uploaded headshot goes to the faces, any other photo to the avatars — the note under the upload lets you move it if it landed in the wrong place.

The wizard has three steps:

1 · Avatar

Start from a face or avatar you clicked on the left, or switch to Generate new: choose gender, age, ethnicity, hair, build and the framing, write a prompt, pick the image model and click Generate Avatar. The cost is shown on the button.

Then dress it under Wardrobe:

  • Outfit Sets dress the whole person at once — Business, Casual, Street, Sport, Beach, Black Tie, outdoor and weather looks (hiker, forester, mountaineer, angler, skier, winter, rainy day …), many uniforms and professions (police, doctor, pilot, chef, astronaut, paramedic, detective …) and historical or cultural outfits (cowboy, pirate, samurai, kimono …).
  • Or piece by piece: hat, glasses, tie or scarf, jacket, top, pants, shoes, jewelry, bag or gear (backpack, binoculars, fishing rod, camera …) and tattoos, many of them in a colour you choose.
  • Change the framing switches between Head, Half body, Three-quarter and Full body.

Apply generates the new version. Face and body keep the style of the picture — a photo stays a photo, a drawing stays a drawing.

2 · Background

Place the avatar in a scene, or Skip — no background. Choose a location from the categories, a style, a tone and a pose — or describe your own scene — and where the avatar stands (left, centre, right). The scene prompt can be edited before generating. Pick 16:9 or 9:16 and click Generate: it's one new AI image, not a cut-out pasted onto a background, so light and shadows match.

3 · Create

Give the avatar a name and click Create avatar (or Save changes when editing one).

In the avatar list

  • Rename — click the name.
  • Voice reference — pick one of your voices and a short line. The sample keeps the avatar's voice the same across separately generated video clips.
  • Delete — removes the avatar.

② Speaking avatar

  1. Avatar — pick a finished avatar. The video keeps the format of its picture (16:9 or 9:16).
  2. What should it say?
    • Type text and choose one of your voices from Voice Studio. The word count shows roughly how long it will run.
    • From a story — use a part of a story's voice over.
    • Own audio — drop an MP3 or WAV, e.g. your own recording.
  3. Create video — the price is shown on the button (an estimate when you type text). Rendering takes a few minutes; you can leave the page.

Finished videos are listed on the right — the same list a story's Avatar step uses. Download MP4, or choose a story and click Use in story.

Tips

  • For talking videos a Head or Half body framing with the face clearly visible works best.
  • Keep the avatar facing roughly towards the camera, with the mouth visible and not covered.
  • For a series, make the avatar once and reuse it — that keeps the character identical in every video.

When something goes wrong

  • Apply stays grey — pick clothes or a colour, or turn on Change the framing.
  • "The video could not be made" — the reason is shown in the preview. Try a clearer, more frontal avatar picture or a shorter text.
  • No voices in the list — create one in Voice Studio first.
